DESCRIPTION:
Our primary switched compact power supplies of the series TCP provide excellent dynamics of output voltage-, current-, power- and internal resistance simulation. This is the result of an uncompromised use of digital signal processors in an optimized multi-processor architecture and of a full digital control structure. Typical system response times with resistive loads are below 1 msec and with mixed resistive / inductive loads about 1 - 2 msec.
A compact, medium frequency transformer with a highly specialized magnetic core material supplies the processed energy to the galvanically isolated output. Controlled on a semi-resonant basis by IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor), the transformer reaches a very high level of efficiency, and works without any noise in the ultra-sonic range.
All regulation, monitoring and communications tasks are carried out by three high performance digital signal processors. The full digital regulation system delivers high accuracy, reproducibility and long-term stability, allows control of specific loads and enables programming of linear ramp functions related to "voltage-on" and set value steps.
The power supplies offer complete control of output voltage, current and power as well as an adjustable internal resistance simulation and display the operating status such as constant voltage mode, constant current mode or constant power mode on the front panel.

GENERAL:
MAGNAVOLT's "FAILSAFE" electronically regulated, thyristor controlled DC power supplies of the series DTLG and DTWG are air- or water cooled and highly reliable. The power supplies can be operated manually on the front panel or remotely (optional) via Analog Programming or computer interface.
The cabinet exists of a robust frame with a lockable front door and removable side panels. The complete cabinet is treated with phosphor and covered with a corrosion resistant powder to provide excellent corrosion protection. In addition, all sensitive electronic parts are housed in a separate enclosure (protection class IP 54) inside the main cabinet providing protection from a possible air pollution.
The power supply is environmentally friendly, is very easy to maintain, has a wear resistant voltage & current regulation, a high regulation accuracy and a high speed regulation.

For extra safety and comfort, the current and resistance values can be preset while in stand by mode before applying. The preset values are monitored on two 3-1/2 digit displays for voltage, current and resistance measurement and a single push of a button activates the output.
Exceptional safety features include protection for over-power, over-current, over-voltage, over temperature and reverse polarity; all of which are indicated by LEDs.
All control and measurement functions can be made via the optional analog and / or computer interfaces.
An additional feature is dynamic loading with adjustable current rise and fall times
